One Day Hike Fansipan Overview
Known as “the Roof of Indochina”, Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam and on the Indochina peninsula, offering incredible views over northern Vietnam and southern China. The feeling of standing on the top of Fansipan peak, looking down at the picturesque panorama of Sapa is a magical feeling.
Breaking your limits to conquer the top of the Fansipan mountain at a height of 3143m, this adventure offers you the chance to climb it for yourself and discover the majestic nature, primeval forest, diverse vegetation and seasonal flowers.
Hike Fansipan – up to the top of the highest mountain in the region with a professional, English-speaking guide to lead the way, you can rest assured throughout the journey. It is roughly 7.75 miles (12 km) in each direction (full ~24km)

What To Expect (Itinerary)
Sapa – Tram Ton Pass – Fansipan – Tram Ton Pass – Sapa
Distance: ~24 km
Duration: 10 – 12 hours
The Fansipan is the highest peak mountain in the Indochina Peninsula with an elevation of 3143m. The 1 day of hiking is very hard and difficult, just for strong people. It takes 12,5 km / way x 2 ways (go and back) = 25 km, ~ 1400m height, total 10 – 12h trekking.
6h30: After you have an early breakfast in your hotel, we take a car to Tram Ton pass, located at 1900m above sea level and it is the place to start the interesting trek.
Ready for first steps, you will discover the nature of the most interesting Hoang Lien Son range, cross bamboo forests, old trees, forests with colorful flowers and nice streams…
12h00: Lunch on the way (camping site at 2800 m), we will arrive at the top about 12h/ 13h, there you will get a lot of amazing views of Sapa town and Vietnam mountains, hunting unique pictures.

14h00: Start down the mountain
You have 2 options:
- Trek back the same way to Tram Ton pass to take the car back to Sapa town.
- You can take a cable car by yourself on the cable car station ( The cable car ticket is paid for by yourself). The feeling of conquering Fansipan by cable car is the poetic beauty looking from above.
16h30: Arrive in Sapa town, end of the tour.
Optional: At the end of the adventure, let’s have a happy ending, you can enjoy relaxing moments with indigenous herbal baths, foot baths and massages, and nice food by locals for good choices after hard trekking.
